Yes! Students may arrive as early as 7:30 and stay as late as 5:00 (until 6 on occasion with prior notice) for co-curricular activities. Before and after care is by donation. We encourage those who can to contribute to funding these programs, but welcome students to join enrichment activities regardless of ability to pay.
Before and after school care will involve enrichment activities, including clubs, dedicated time for homework, and physical activity.
Because we embrace the Quaker tenet of the unique worth of each individual, LFS seeks students from diverse economic, ethnic, and family backgrounds. We offer flexible tuition based on each family's ability to pay. Full tuition is established at $12,000 for full day preschool (8:45-3:15), $6,000 for half day preschool (8:45-11:45), $15,325 for Kindergarten, and $15,995 for 1st-8th grade (8:30-3:30) for the 2025-26 school year, and aid is available to families in need.
LFS seeks to welcome a diverse group of employees. Faculty and staff will be trained in and familiar with Quaker practice and expected to honor the Quaker values on which the school is based. We honor, respect, and welcome a diversity of religious beliefs.
Lancaster Friends School is a member of Friends Council on Education, Pennsylvania, and accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools.
